When We Need Renewal
Let’s take a brief refresher course. Christianity is the most wonderful life in the world!
As a Christian you are:
●a child of God
●a joint heir with Christ
●in possession of the Holy Spirit of God
●destined for glory
Nothing this worthwhile comes cheap. In Scripture the Christian life is compared to:
●running a race
●waging a fierce battle
●taking a long journey
●being refined by fire
When we accept this challenge, we enter the company of those who valued their faith to the point that they:
●forfeited their possessions
●were rejected by family and friends
●were driven by persecution to other cities
●gave up everything, even their lives
So if you need an uplift, consider these fundamental faith-boosters:
●serious, organized Bible study—daily
●earnest prayer—daily
●fellowship with Christians—frequently
●involvement in the Lord’s work—consistently
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:58 NASB).
